I'm currently studying English.
I still have no confidence about my English skills.
So,you might find odd sentences in my writing.
But please let it pass with a smile!
You know,laughter brings good luck!

I had been in Thailand last week. As I wrote about this on my blog before,I went on a trip to Thailand with my friend for a week. I've been to Guam,Indonesia and Singapore before, but had never been to Thailand. I mean, this is the first trip to Thailand. During the trip,I was really excited and this experience was so amazing for me.

My friend and I stayed at Bangkok for 4days and also went on a short trip to a countryside for 2days.You know,Bangkok is really big city. There were lots of tourists in Bangkok. I don't speak Thai but in Bangkok, there were lots of shops having staffs who speak English,so I didn't have troubles to talk to them. I think this was a good opportunity to speak English for me.

Speaking of Thailand, street food is really famous. Photos of below are famous street "Thong Lo". We went to there twice to have dinner during the trip.

This is my favorite dessert,a mango with sticky rice. It's really famous dessert in Thailand, but before I tried it,I couldn't imagine whether it's delicious, or not. Because we don't eat rice with fruits. But I ate it once and was really hooked on it. This is really delicious. You should try it if you go to Thailand. FYI,I ate it five times during the trip.

My friend and I went on a short trip to a countryside by train. There were lots of local people in this train, but I didn't see tourists except us. In a countryside,it was difficult to communicate with local people in English, because there are few people who speak English. But my friend speaks a little Thai,so we had no trouble during staying a countryside.

I went to the market of this photo. Did you notice where the market is on? This market is on the railway track. Every time a train comes, shop staffs pull their roof out. It sounds busy, but train comes only four times a day.

Market is also really famous in Thailand. We went to a floating market. There were lots of boats selling many kinds of food and stuffs like souvenirs.

We went to the famous Thai food restaurant "Kinnaree". I heard that the owner of this restaurant started a Thai food restaurant in France before, and she made good. So,she went back to Thailand and opened this restaurant. Dishes we ate were all delicious and the mood inside the restaurant was really stylish. We ate so much but it wasn't expensive. Because prices of Thailand are really low compared to Japan.

Well,in Thailand, when people say "Thank you",they set their hands in front of their chest. I found a funny Donald in Thailand.

He is extremely polite and well-mannered,isn't he?

I really really enjoyed the trip. I'd love to go again to Thailand. And,I'd like to study Thai. But I know I have to improve my English skill more. And also,I know I have no time to study foreign language any more. Because I'm studying Spanish, too. I wish I can speak many foreign languages. If I could do,I would be able to go on a trip to many foreign countries.

At first,I have to master English and Spanish!

Anyway,I'll tell you other things about my trip next time.

Welcome back! I'll have to find a mango rice recipe now that you have inspired me.

When I was a kid, one of my favorite foods was a kind of rice pudding that was just rice with milk and sugar.

All of the dishes look really good. What's the asparagus-looking dish on the lower right corner of your composite photo? (The photo with the four dishes combined into one picture.)

Thanks for all the cool photos of Thailand! The floating market looks very interesting.

Good luck with your Spanish studies, too! I know it has some additional challenges compared to English. Like how everything has a gender. And the way they pronounce some things can be difficult, like the rolling 'rr' (erre).
